There are many popular coffee options, both in regards to the types of coffee we have available through supermarkets and specialty stores, and in regards to the types of coffee drinks that have been invented since the time coffee was discovered as a beverage.
Similar coffee to the one we know and drink today was introduced in Arabia in the 13th century when people began roasting coffee beans for the first time. Before that, however, coffee had served other purposes for a long time.

At first, people used coffee in its unprocessed form – the cherry-like fruit that becomes red when ripe, to make various products, some of which were food, and some of which were beverages.
Once the Muslim people discovered that roasting the beans made a better and more stimulant beverage, consumption of coffee increased and so did production when other countries in the world started to grow and sell coffee.
In the second half of the twentieth century Americans began developing an awareness of specialty types, and by then coffee had already made the transition from a simple beverage to an artistic and complex drink. People could choose between so many different types of coffee, and enjoy a variety of coffee-based drinks invented in various places around the world.
Considered to be some of the best coffee drinks ever invented are Mexican coffee, iced coffee, café latte, and espresso, but coffee options only start here. There are dozens of beverages made from coffee, plus variations of the general type. Let’s have a look at them.
List of coffee drinks from everywhere around the world
