Christmas specials have been rolling for weeks now and Aldi Australia is known to carry some of the best selling products in the foods and drinks category every year. While it is true that some of their products score high value-concerned but lower in regards to quality, when compared to some of the other retailers Aldi does make an excellent choice for festive shopping.
Decent champagne and wine costs about $29.99, respectively $11.99, plus there are many decently priced foods, starting with ham, vegetables, cheeses, desserts of course and baking essentials.

Without further ado, here are five festive buys from Aldi to try this Christmas.
Monsigny Champagne Premier Cru, $29.99
Monsigny Premier Cru is a sweet champagne with persistent, medium bubbles and a nice and fruity aroma. It is a well flavored champagne, although with a sharp taste and somewhat nutty. It’s not the best, but it’s definitely remarkable value for the price with hardly any other champagne coming close to this level of quality within this price range.
Whole Turkey Frozen, $22.99
It wouldn’t be the first time Aldi ranked high for meat buys. They’ve been having meat specials for the festive periods on and on and Christmas being one of the most popular holidays, Aldi is always putting out good value meats.
The frozen whole turkey is an all-time customers’ favorite at just $6.05 per kilogram. It is a best-value turkey that comes cheapest in the frozen category.
Whole Duck Frozen, $14.99
A good alternative to the turkey roast Christmas dinner is the Christmas roast duck and at just $6.81 per kilogram, Aldi scores the highest rank for the cheapest whole duck frozen.
Aldi started selling a Christmas range of meats years ago and has been stretching its offerings with whole meats and whole seafood at good pricing points ever since. They also currently carry whole cooked lobster frozen at $19.99.
Specially Selected Luxury Iced All Over Christmas Cake, $15.99
As with their Monsigny champagne, Aldi’s Luxury Iced All Over Christmas Cake may not be number one but it definitely makes it in the top 10 best cakes to have on the Christmas table.
The cake is sweet and fruity-tasting. It is infused with Cognac and covered in marzipan, an overall traditionally looking cake with a traditional scent.
